Of November 25-30, 2024<\/strong>, there Week of French high schools around the world (#SemaineLFM)<\/strong> is back for an inspiring 8th edition! This flagship event, organized by theAgency for French Education Abroad (AEFE)<\/strong>, highlights the unique role of the 580 French establishments spread across 139 countries<\/strong>.<\/p>

With the theme \u201cFrancophonie: our establishments create and innovate\u201d<\/strong>, this week celebrates the linguistic, cultural and educational diversity that makes the AEFE network rich, while promoting innovative projects carried out by students and teaching teams around the world.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A rich and varied program<\/h3>

Here are the highlights of this edition:<\/p>

  • Monday November 25<\/strong> : live launch from Dakar, Senegal \ud83c\uddf8\ud83c\uddf3. A special program, hosted by students, will welcome personalities such as Claudia Scherer-Effosse, Director General of the AEFE, as well as representatives of establishments in the region.<\/p><\/li>

  • Tuesday November 26<\/strong> : key witnesses will share their experiences around the French-speaking world and innovation. Among them:<\/p>

    • Martin Boujol<\/strong>, a literary influencer followed by thousands of readers.<\/li>
    • Jerome Ferrari<\/strong>, winner of the 2012 Goncourt Prize and former teacher in the AEFE network.<\/li>
    • Ines Yabar<\/strong>, a former student of the French High School of Lima, now an environmental activist at the United Nations Foundation.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>

    • Thursday, November 29<\/strong> : heading for a real radio world tour<\/strong> with the Grand direct on Twitch \ud83c\udf99\ufe0f. During 5 p.m.<\/strong>, 55 establishments, from South Africa to Thailand, will take turns to share their projects, through interviews, reports and round tables.
      \u23f0 Go to the AEFE Twitch channel 4:20 a.m. to 9:40 p.m. (Paris time)<\/strong> so you don't miss anything!<\/p><\/li>

    • Friday November 30<\/strong> : closing in style with a tribute to the Telethon<\/strong>, strengthening the solidarity and inclusive commitment of students. Since 2013, the AEFE has been a partner of this event, highlighting local actions and initiatives in favor of scientific research.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      A tribute to the French-speaking world and multilingualism<\/h3>

      This edition places particular emphasis on the <\/span>French-speaking world<\/strong>, echoing the recent <\/span>Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Francophonie<\/strong> organized in France last October. With students from diverse linguistic backgrounds, French schools around the world celebrate French as a common language, while promoting multilingualism and interculturality.<\/span><\/p>
